Researchers at the Czech Technical University in Prague have long-term experience with detecting malware at the network level through various machine learning methodologies. Focusing on the DNS layer is a welcome challenge for the team and presents a new point of view on malware behaviour. Recognizing suspicious domain names, tracking infected hosts based on their DNS traffic over time - all those patterns can be recognized by properly trained Neural Networks.
