Peacemaker Referral Program

Whalebone may provide an existing Peacemaker customer with a unique referral code. The customer may share this code with another ISP that may be interested in Peacemaker.

The referred ISP must enter the referral code during the online registration, trial request or purchase process. The referral code is the main way in which Whalebone identifies the referring ISP.

Whalebone is not required to manually add, correct or verify a referral code if the code was not entered correctly during the online process.

A referral code must be valid at the time it is entered by the referred ISP.

Where can I find my referral code?

Referral can be found in the URL after “client-”.

For example: https://portal.eu-01.whalebone.io/en/client-10299

In this case, your Referral code (Customer ID) is 10299.

The referred ISP follows the standard Peacemaker customer journey on the Whalebone website. This may include registration, a trial request, onboarding, activation of the service and becoming a paying customer.

No special action is required from the referring ISP. The referring ISP is not required to take part in sales discussions, onboarding, technical setup, customer support or billing.

A referral is considered successful only if all of the following conditions are met:

• the referred ISP entered a valid referral code during the online registration, trial request or purchase process;
• the referred ISP successfully completed onboarding;
• the referred ISP became an active paying customer of Peacemaker;
• the referred ISP used the service for at least three consecutive months; and
• Whalebone received full payment for the first three months of the service.

The referral may apply to Peacemaker Standard, Peacemaker Content Filtering or another Peacemaker package accepted by Whalebone.

Entering a referral code does not automatically create any entitlement to a referral reward. The referral reward arises only after Whalebone confirms that all conditions of the program have been fulfilled.

If the referral is successful, the referring ISP may become eligible for a one-time referral reward.

The referral reward equals 30% of the amounts actually, duly and fully received by Whalebone from the referred ISP for the first three months of the Peacemaker service.

Only one referral reward may be paid for each referred ISP. If the referred ISP purchases more than one Peacemaker package, upgrades the service or places additional orders, the referral reward will apply only to the first eligible purchase, unless Whalebone decides otherwise.

Referral rewards do not apply to renewals, extensions, upgrades, upsells or additional purchases by existing Whalebone customers, unless Whalebone expressly confirms otherwise.

The reward is calculated only from amounts actually paid to Whalebone. Discounts, refunds, credit notes, chargebacks, unpaid invoices, taxes and any other reductions are excluded.

 

The referral reward becomes payable only after Whalebone verifies that the referral conditions have been met.

Whalebone may inform the referring ISP of the reward amount and request an invoice or other payment documentation. Whalebone may withhold payment until the referring ISP provides all invoicing, tax, banking and identification information reasonably required for the payment of the referral reward.

Unless agreed otherwise, referral rewards are calculated and paid in the currency determined by Whalebone. Whalebone will pay the referral reward within a 30 days period after receiving a valid invoice or other required payment documentation.

The referring ISP is responsible for all taxes, duties and other charges connected with the referral reward.

If any payment used for the calculation of the referral reward is later refunded, credited, cancelled, charged back or otherwise reversed, Whalebone may reduce, withhold or reclaim the corresponding part of the referral reward.

Whalebone remains free to decide whether to accept, reject, onboard, suspend or terminate any referred ISP.

Whalebone does not guarantee that any referred ISP will become a customer, that onboarding will be completed, that the referred ISP will pay for the service, or that any referral reward will become payable.

Participation in the referral program does not give the referring ISP any right to receive information about the referred ISP, its contract, payments, onboarding status or use of the service, except for information Whalebone decides to provide for the purpose of confirming the referral reward.

Whalebone has the right to interpret these referral terms and to decide on any matter not expressly covered by them, acting reasonably and in line with the purpose of the referral program.

 

No referral reward will be payable if:

• the referral code was not entered or was entered incorrectly;
• the referral code was not valid at the time it was entered;
• the referred ISP was already known to Whalebone;
• the referred ISP was already in contact with Whalebone;
• the referred ISP had already been referred by someone else;
• the referred ISP is an existing Whalebone customer;
• the referred ISP does not complete onboarding;
• the referred ISP does not pay for the first three months of service;
• the referral relates to a renewal, extension, upgrade, upsell or additional purchase by an existing Whalebone customer;
• the referral is self-referring, fraudulent, misleading or abusive;
• the referring ISP promotes Peacemaker in a misleading, aggressive or unlawful manner;
• the referring ISP sends unsolicited communications or otherwise acts contrary to applicable law;
• the referring ISP uses Whalebone's name, trademarks or materials in a way that may harm Whalebone's reputation; or
• the referral is otherwise inconsistent with the purpose of the program.

If there is any uncertainty or dispute about a referral, Whalebone will decide whether the referral is valid and whether any reward is payable.
